AFRC hosts Spouse Information Day

HOLLOMAN AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. -- The Airman and Family Readiness Center hosted a Spouse Information Day here from 8 a.m. to noon, July 27.

Spouse Information Days welcome dependents new to Holloman by serving them breakfast, and providing them with information specific to the base and the surrounding area.

"This is a great way to meet other spouses at Holloman, and find out information on what to do and where to go," said Amy Koehne, a community readiness consultant at the AFRC. "We have more than 15 briefers from on base and off base to tell them about Holloman and the local area."

The AFRC hosts one Spouse Information Day every three months - welcoming over 100 dependents annually.

"I think it's great for spouses," said Kristin Gieras, a military spouse new to Holloman. "It gives them information they might not know - especially for families new to the Air Force."

Childcare is available for spouses. It is paid for by the AFRC.
