Fire Detachments Conduct Drills at Holloman Published June 24, 2015 By Staff Sgt. E'Lysia A Wray 49th Wing Public Affairs HOLLOMAN AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. -- Members of the 702nd, 582nd, 306th and 907th Fire Detachments from the state of Washington will be here Wednesday, June 24, to Sunday, June 28, for a Mission Readiness Exercise. The training will be held at the Holloman Fire Emergency Services training area and will consist of structural drills, search and rescue and aircraft rescue firefighting. The four firefighting detachments will be training here to prepare for an upcoming deployment. They are using the FES training area to fulfill training requirements in one area to reduce travel time and costs. Please be aware fire and smoke may be visible due to these training exercises.
