The Air Combat Command F-22 Raptor Demonstration Team will be preforming in the skies above Holloman on May 10.

Raptor demo teams are known for preforming precision aerial maneuvers to demonstrate the unique capabilities of the world's only operational fifth-generation fighter aircraft.

"We are delighted to announce we'll be opening our doors to the public this spring to showcase Holloman's missions and capabilities to residents of the Tularosa Basin and beyond," said Col. Andrew Croft, 49th Wing commander. "We invite you to put this date on your calendar and make plans to attend this event, which will honor our Air Force heritage and the Team Holloman members who make it all possible."

An Open House event will also be ongoing in light of the demonstration. Civilians will be welcomed onto base to get a peek into the everyday lives of Holloman Airmen, with a chance to see various aircraft on display including Holloman's MQ-1 Predator and MQ-9 Reaper. Admission will be free and refreshments will be available for purchase throughout the day.

"We are extremely excited to be featuring one of the most elite performance teams around at the upcoming May 10 Open House," says Maj. James Stewart, air operations director. "The F-22 Raptor Demo Team is scheduled to perform twice during the Open House. The team's performance will definitely be one you don't want to miss."

Come out and enjoy a day of Air Force fun by joining Team Holloman in experiencing this extraordinary historical event.
