Helping those in need Published Sept. 25, 2013 By Staff Sgt. Warren Spearman 49th Wing Public Affairs HOLLOMAN AIR FORCE BASE, N.M -- As September is Suicide Prevention Month, the mental health professionals at the 49th Medical Group want Team Holloman members to be aware of the programs and services offered to those who might be or know someone experiencing difficult times. "It's important take care of each other," says Master Sgt. Sarah Bland, mental health flight chief at the 49th Mental Health Clinic. In an effort to increase awareness, the mental health clinic offers programs such as relationship workshops, anger management, dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder, and outreach classes dedicated to the whole wingman concept. On Sept. 20, employees of the clinic handed out Assisting Personnel in Distress pocket guides and candy to departing airmen at the main gate.
