"Life isn't waiting for the storm to pass, it's learning to dance in the rain." - Vivian Greene

Dance is the simplest form of self-expression, not only can dance teach you how to be more confident, it's also a great form of exercise and most importantly bonding with others.

"Dance has been my passion my whole life. I love sharing that same passion with my students," said Rebecca Hulun, director and dance teacher of the DS Dance Academy.

DS Dance Academy opened Feb. 4th and holds its classes at the Holloman Air Force Base Youth and Teen Center. The academy offers a variety of classes from ballet, tap and jazz creative movement and to even a mom and me class.

"It's a pleasure to have a facility to use and have the chance to be creative for the little ones," said Hulun.

Hulun has been teaching her passion for dance for over 13 years. She is an award-winning choreographer, with experience in many competition circuits. She started the DS Dance Academy to bring her skills and passion for dance to children at Holloman.

Classes are offered to children ages toddler to 12 year olds with base access. The variety of classes ensures that any child will be comfortable and placed correctly for a fun and exciting experience, building their knowledge and passion for dance.

"I hope the academy will grow and students will enjoy dance as much as I do," said Hulun.
