MLK Unity Walk and Luncheon
HOLLOMAN AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. -- A group of Holloman personnel led by U.S. Air Force Col. Kevin Huyck, 49th Wing vice commander, begin the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. “I have a dream” Unity Walk Jan. 18, 2012, in observation of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. day. The walk started at the Wing headquarters building and continued to the Desert Sands Enlisted Club, where there was a luncheon to reflect on his contributions to the nation. Chief's Choice Award
HOLLOMAN AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. -- U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Erica Sickmeier, 49th Mission Support Group, has been awarded the Chief's Choice Award for Dec., 2011. Sickmeier is the knowledge operations manager for the 49th MSG, and was nominated for the Dec. Adam Aleywine, 49th Medical Operations Squadron, does an atomic pushup Dec. 9, 2011, during a TRX® workout at the Domenici Fitness and Sports Center. The TRX® is an industrial-grade harness of soft nylon webbing and it allows users to safely suspend their bodies and employs the user's bodyweight in a variety of positions and at different resistances, which creates a total-body work out that delivers strength, flexibility and core stability all at once.
