Military Working Dog Luxi, exits the sheriff’s cruiser during vehicle pursuit training at Oñate High School, Las Cruces, N.M., June 19. During vehicle pursuit training, the officer pulls up on a fleeing suspect and remotely opens the rear cruiser door allowing the dog to pursue and detain the suspect. The Doña Ana County Sheriff’s Department teams up with the K9 handlers from Holloman Air Force Base once per month to conduct additional training for both the MWDs and their handlers.
