Holloman AFB POW/MIA recognition ceremony

Airman 1st Class Tayna Flores, 49th Material Maintenance Support Squadron, renders a symbolic salute to one of the 12 soldiers missing in action from New Mexico during the Vietnam Conflict during the Prisoner of War and Missing in Action Recognition Ceremony at the Holloman Air Force Base, N.M., Heritage Park on Sept 21. Flores, along with 11 other Airmen, took turns announcing the names of the 12 soldiers during the Roll Call of Honor. The ceremony paid tribute to those individuals who ‘gave all’ and those who were held captive while serving their country. As a sign of respect, a Holloman AFB Airman has been posting guard in front of the POW/MIA memorial at Heritage Park since 12:00 a.m. today.
