TRX Training Course

Physical Training Leaders from various 49th Mission Support Group squadrons perform inverted planks during a total body resistance exercise (TRX) workout directed by Mike Skaggs, TRX trainer, at the Domenici Fitness Center Aug. 20. The course was held to provide the knowledge and skills needed to effectively use TRX suspension. TRX is a suspension training tool that uses a specially designed set of straps and handles that allow for portable, body-weight based training that can help in building strength, balance, flexibility, core and joint stability, all while preventing injuries for people working within a wide spectrum of fitness levels. The Domenici Fitness Center hosted a train-the-trainer course to prepare future TRX instructors to lead small and large groups with this method of training.
