HOLLOMAN AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. – The 49th Logistics Readiness Squadron earned the Maj. Gen. Warren R. Carter Logistics Effectiveness Award, naming them the best logistics readiness squadron in the U.S. Air Force. This marks the first time the 49th LRS has won the award under its current squadron designation and the second time ever that a Holloman AFB unit has won the award. First introduced in 1962, the Maj. Gen. Warren R. Carter Logistics Effectiveness Award is presented annually to an Air Force unit, selected by the Chief of Staff, who has achieved the best supply effectiveness record in the Air Force in support of mission aircraft or weapons.
