HOLLOMAN AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. – Tech. Sgt. Greg Edwards, 49th Security Forces Squadron combat arms training and maintenance NCO in charge, gives a magazine of non-lethal rounds to Airman 1st Class David Jaquez, 49th SFS patrolman, during an active-shooter exercise scenario at the 49th Materiel Maintenance Group compound May 3. For the exercise scenario, 49th SFS responders swapped out their live rounds with the blank rounds to engage the active gunman, who also was using the blank rounds to create a more realistic scenario. An exercise like this is conducted annually to ensure all of Team Holloman knows what to do should the event happen on the installation. (U.S. Air Force photo by Airman 1st Class Siuta B.
