Saving lives, one class at a time

HOLLOMAN AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. – Staff Sgt. Claudia Ramirez, 49th Medical Operations Squadron Self Aid and Buddy Care advisor for the wing, demonstrates how to open the airway of Maj. Andrew Wagner, 49th Aerospace Medicine Squadron, during a SABC training class March 7 at the 49th MDG Education and Training Flight building. Since becoming the 49th Wing’s SABC advisor in August 2011, the number of the wing’s Airmen trained in SABC has gone from 30 to 80 percent. Because of the importance of SABC, the base has recently revamped its program, and in turn, an increased number of Holloman Airmen have played major roles in accident response.
