SAN MARCOS, Texas –- Amanda Gallagher, marketing director for the 49th Force Support Squadron, and U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Anthony Ward, 49th Wing public affairs, strap into their kayaks before preparing to shove off into the San Marcos River Feb. 19. The Airmen spouse and civilian were learning the basics of kayaking and white- water rapids in order to enable quick thinking and critical decision-making skills.
