HOLLOMAN AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. – Capt. (Dr.) Rebecca Brinks, a dentist with the 49th Medical Group Dental Clinic, and Senior Airman Sarah Swaim, a dental technician also with the dental clinic, give an anesthetic to a patient prior to filling a cavity during an annual dental visit. Annual dental exams are performed to ensure military members have healthy mouths to ensure they are operationally ready and to prevent diseases such as gingivitis, periodontis and cavities.
