HOLLOMAN AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. -- Airman 1st Class Tristan Cooper, 49th Civil Engineer Squadron firefighter, advances a quick attack fire line to the front door of a simulated burning building during a monthly structural fire exercise Dec. 1, 2010. Airman Cooper and other firefighters participated in the exercise where they are required to clear the room, put the fire out and rescue any occupants. Throughout the year firefighters are required to perform egress training on the F-22 Raptor, GR1 Tornado and the T-38 aircraft as well. They also train on hazardous materials, confined spaces and special operations to maintain their Defense International Fire Service Accreditation Congress certifications.
