HOLLOMAN AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. -- Staff Sgt. Micheal Jones, a crew chief with the 49th Civil Engineer Squadron firefighters, rescues an occupant from a simulated burning building during a monthly structural fire exercise Dec. 1, 2010. Sergeant Jones and other firefighters also conducted a primary search inside the room to rescue any occupants and to ensure the fire was out. Throughout the year firefighters are required to perform egress training on the F-22 Raptor, GR1 Tornado and the T-38 aircraft as well. They also train on hazardous materials, confined spaces and special operations to maintain their Defense International Fire Service Accreditation Congress certifications.
