HOLLOMAN AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. -- Eric Murillo, 49th Civil Engineer Squadron firefighters, deploys the fire attack line to put out a fire in a simulated during a structural fire exercise Dec. 1, 2010. The exercise tested Mr. Murillo and other firefighters on their ability to respond to put out a simulated fire, while rescuing the occupants of a smoke filled room. Throughout the year firefighters are required to perform egress training on the F-22 Raptor, GR1 Tornado and the T-38 aircraft as well. Firefighters use this training to prepare for the Operational Readiness Inspection by improving their response procedures for suspicious packages and emergency response to Weapons of Mass Destruction and other terrorist threats.
