Keeping an eye on traffic

HOLLOMAN AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. -- Nate Jim, an electrician from Bixby Electric Company, connects each wire in an electrical cabinet to configure the traffic signal sequence with the new traffic cameras Oct. 20, 2010. The new traffic cameras on both intersections of New Mexico Avenue and Arizona Avenue on First Street will detect when vehicles are turning during high traffic hours. Members of the 49th Civil Engineer Squadron also installed school zone flashers on both of the roads facing First Street to ensure both directions of traffic are aware of when school hours are in effect.
