Holloman Air Force Base honors volunteers during the annual Volunteer Recognition Ceremony, June 27 at the Desert Sands Enlisted Club Holloman at Air Force Base, N.M. The ceremony is held to recognize those who volunteered between April 2007 and April 2008. This year the volunteers contributed more than 24,350 hours, which would equate to $158,321,00 if working for minimum wage. The Volunteers spent time at various places and events to include; the Holloman AFB Chapel, medical group, Boys and Girls Scouts, Thrift Shop, Airman's Attic, Youth and Teen Center Sports Program, Day of Caring, 572- Ride, Highway Clean-up, Special Oplymics, Big Brothers and Big Sisters and many more.
