  • First in AETC: KC-46s refuel F-16 fighters

    In a first for Air Education and Training Command and the 56th Air Refueling Squadron, two KC-46 Pegasus aircraft from the 97th Air Mobility Wing at Altus Air Force Base, Oklahoma, along with 10 F-16 Fighting Falcons from the 49th Wing at Holloman AFB, New Mexico, teamed up in the skies over New Mexico to train and practice air refueling operations.

  • 28th annual Day of Caring

    Volunteers from Holloman Air Force Base and members of the local community came together for the 28th annual Day of Caring September 6, 2019, at the Otero County Fairgrounds in Alamogordo, New Mexico. The Day of Caring is an annual event, where volunteers perform various tasks, such as home repairs or yard work, at pre-determined job sites for individuals who are either unable to accomplish the tasks themselves or do not have the resources to do so.  
  • Aircrew Crisis Task Force director visits 49th Wing

  • Where in the world is the 314th FS, AMU?

    Airmen from the 314th Fighter Squadron and 314th Aircraft Maintenance Unit worked out of Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, in San Diego, California, for a training exercise from May 29 to June 14, 2019. Between the two squadrons, a total of 168 personnel, 16 F-16 Vipers and 14 tons of equipment were fully functional during the temporary duty assignment in support of 258 flying training sorties.
