822 BDS deploys in support of Task Force - Holloman
U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Jeff Sales, 822nd Base Defense Squadron combat arms instructor, spends time with his family at Moody Air Force Base, Georgia, Aug. 28, 2021. Sales and more than 160 Airmen from the squadron have deployed to Holloman Air Force Base, New Mexico, in support of Task Force – Holloman. The Department of Defense, through U.S. Northern Command, and in support of the Department of Homeland Security, is providing transportation, temporary housing, medical screening, and general support for at least 50,000 Afghan evacuees at suitable facilities, in permanent or temporary structures, as quickly as possible. 822 BDS deploys in support of Task Force - Holloman
U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Kierra Carter, 822nd Base Defense Squadron fire team member, finishes a college homework assignment Aug. 28, 2021, prior to leaving Moody Air Force Base, Georgia, for Holloman Air Force Base, New Mexico, to support Afghan special immigrant visa applicants. The 822nd BDS is a self-sustaining force-protection unit and will provide an enhanced security presence at the temporary housing location in New Mexico in support of Task Force – Holloman. The Department of Defense, through U.S. Northern Command, and in support of the Department of Homeland Security, is providing transportation, temporary housing, medical screening, and general support for at least 50,000 Afghan evacuees at suitable facilities, in permanent or temporary structures, as quickly as possible. More than 160 Airmen from the 822nd Base Defense Squadron deployed to Holloman Air Force Base, New Mexico, , in support of Task Force – Holloman. The Department of Defense, through U.S. Northern Command, and in support of the Department of Homeland Security, is providing transportation, temporary housing, medical screening, and general support for at least 50,000 Afghan evacuees at suitable facilities, in permanent or temporary structures, as quickly as possible. A U.S. Air Force Airman assigned to the 23rd Logistics Readiness Squadron drives a pallet of cargo from the deployment control center to the 71st Rescue Squadron on Moody Air Force Base, Georgia, Aug. 28, 2021. The 23rd LRS loaded seven pallets of gear for the 822nd Base Defense Squadron Airmen, who deployed to Holloman Air Force Base, New Mexico, in support of Task Force – Holloman. The Department of Defense, through U.S. Northern Command, and in support of the Department of Homeland Security, is providing transportation, temporary housing, medical screening, and general support for at least 50,000 Afghan evacuees at suitable facilities, in permanent or temporary structures, as quickly as possible.
