ALAMOGORDO, N.M. -- U.S. Air Force Senior Airman David Schenkel, 49th Civil Engineer Squadron firefighter, carries a bucket of water Oct. 1, 2011, during a bucket brigade competition at Alameda Park. The bucket brigade competition was one of five fire muster games where firefighters from the 49th CES and Otero County fire departments began with four team members and at the sound of a whistle, had to quickly fill up buckets with water and run back and forth to fill up a 35 gallon trash can. ALAMOGORDO, N.M. -- A volunteer firefighter from the Alamo West Fire Rescue and a U.S. Air Force firefighter from the 49th Civil Engineer Squadron run to the finish line Oct. 1, 2011, during a drunken firefighter competition at Alameda Park. The drunken firefighter competition was one of five fire muster games where fire fighters from the 49th CES and Otero County fire departments began with a two-person team and at the sound of a whistle, circled a baseball bat with one end on the ground and the other against their forehead 10 times, then ran around cones and headed to the finish line. ALAMOGORDO, N.M. -- U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Justin Stacy and Airman Tor Larkin, 49th Civil Engineer Squadron firefighters, carry a dummy Oct. 1, 2011, during a bunker drill competition at Alameda Park.
