HOLLOMAN AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. -- Col. Michael Stapleton, 49th Operations Group commander, and Lt. Col. Ryan Sherwood, 6th Reconnaissance Squadron commander, stand at attention while the orders of the assumption are read during an assumption of command ceremony here Oct. 23. Energy Awareness Month
HOLLOMAN AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. -- 2nd Lt. Kevin Diefenderfer, 49th Civil Engineer Squadron energy manager and Gary Krivokaich, 49 CES resource efficiency manager, changed out incandescent lamps with compact fluorescent lamps at the Raptor's Nest here. During their lifetime, the CFL lamps at the Raptor's Nest will each save up to $36 in energy costs. The total change out to CFLs at the Raptor's Nest will save more than $2,000 a year. 49 MDG tests capabilities to immunize using the Seasonal Flu Vaccine.
HOLLOMAN AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. -- Airman 1st Class Eric Canfield, 49th Medical Operations Squadron, administers a Team Holloman member with the seasonal FluMist vaccine Oct. 21 at the Community Activity Center here. Vaccinations started on Oct. 20 at 2 p.m. and are being given for 48 hours straight at the center. The 49th Medical Group is using this 48 hour period to exercise its real world capabilities to immunize and track the base populous in case of a potential disease outbreak. Raptors take to the sky
HOLLOMAN AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. -- Maintainers from the 49th Fighter Wing and 44th Fighter Group work hand-in-hand to successfully launched multiple F-22A Raptors in response to an exercise tasking Oct. 8 during a weeklong exercise.
