Services provided

Walk-in: 

  • Notary: If you have a document you need notarized feel free to walk-in during office hours. No appointment is needed.
     
  • Powers of Attorney: To expedite your visit, you can visit www.aflegalassistance.law.af.mil and follow the steps to input relevant information for your POA. Once complete, the site will generate ticket number(s). Bring those ticket numbers with you during office hours and we will complete the POA. 

Appointment Only:

  • Legal Assistance: Please call, e-mail the org box or stop by the front desk to schedule an appointment. Attorneys provide advice on personal and civil legal matters that are not limited to but include divorce, child custody, land-lord tenant issues and consumer issues. Appointments are in-person. Virtual appointments are available on a case-by-case basis.
  • Wills: Prior to booking an appointment please complete a Will Worksheet by visiting www.aflegalassistance.law.af.mil and following the prompts. Once complete, please contact/provide us with your ticket numbers to schedule the appointment.

 Prioritization 
Deploying members have priority for any appointments/legal assistance including assistance outside of normal duty hours if necessary. Just let us know what works for you.


Eligibility
Active Duty (Includes AFR & ANG on Title 10 Orders), Retirees, Dependents and others listed under AFI 51-304, paragraph 2.3.


Please do not bring anyone with you to your appointment who is not necessary to complete the service you are seeking. Anyone who accompanies you must understand that we will need to speak with you outside of their presence to maintain Attorney-Client Confidentiality.

SVC's Mission:

◘ Provides CONFIDENTIAL legal advice
◘ Protects your rights and privacy interests
◘ Provides legal assistance
◘ Advises you on the investigation and prosecution process
◘ Represents you in interview, hearings and military trials

Who does the SVC work for? → YOU!

◘ SVC's DO NOT work for anyone on your base except you
◘ SVC's have an independent chain of command in Washington, D.C.

Contact your SVC, SARC, FAP or legal office to request an SVC.

◘ Restricted reports: Go to the SVC, SARC, FAP, Chaplain or Healthcare provider to ensure the report remains restricted

Area Defense Counsel (ADC)

ADC's Mission:

◘ The ADC's primary duty is the representation of military members facing adverse actions
◘ The ADC owes each client the utmost in professional defense
